Account and data deletion

Instructions for Yummy Log users

This page is about the Yummy Log application (the app name on Google Play) and the YummyLog ecosystem. The developer name shown on the Google Play App details page identifies the publisher of this listing. Use that name to recognize that this process applies to the same app you installed.

Below are the ways to request deletion of your account and the data associated with it in the cloud, what we stop storing after deletion, what may remain only on your device, and information about timelines.

How to request account deletion

Option A. From the app (recommended)

  1. Open the Yummy Log app on your phone or tablet.
  2. Sign in with the same account you want to delete (Google or Apple), if you're not already signed in.
  3. Go to Settings.
  4. Tap Privacy and account deletion (in the About section) or open your profile and use the account deletion option, depending on the app version.
  5. Confirm when the app asks, using Delete account (or equivalent text). Cloud deletion is processed by the app's own flow.

Option B. By email (if you can't use the app)

  1. Send an email from the address associated with your account (the same one you use with Google or Apple at login).
  2. Use the address suporte@yummylog.app and clearly state that you are requesting deletion of the account and data for Yummy Log.
  3. If we need to confirm your identity, we'll reply asking for additional information; then we process the request.

What is deleted and what may be kept

After account deletion is completed in the cloud, we stop keeping for you:

  • Authentication account (Google or Apple access to the service associated with Yummy Log).
  • Profile and sync data associated with your account in our service (e.g. name or profile photo used in the app, when applicable).
  • Food journal records that were synced to the cloud (meals, notes and fields you stored in the product, depending on your usage).
  • Photos you uploaded to our cloud storage as part of the journal or profile, when the system deletes them together with the account.
  • Links with health professionals and link data needed for that feature, when they exist.

What may remain (device-only)

  • Local copies of the journal or other information stored only on the phone or tablet may remain on the device until you uninstall Yummy Log or clear the app's data in the system settings (Android/iOS). That local storage is not automatically deleted by the same "delete account" button in the cloud.

Timelines and additional retention

  • After successful cloud deletion, we do not keep your Yummy Log user account data to continue providing the service to that account.
  • Email requests: attendance and identity confirmation may take the reasonable time needed; there is no extra retention period for your account data for service purposes after deletion is completed.
  • Backups and laws: backups or logs may be kept only if required by law or for strictly necessary time.
