Yummy Log ("the app") is an application for you to log and review your food journal (meals, how you felt, notes and, if you want, photos). You can optionally connect with authorized health professionals so they can follow part of that information, according to the product's features. This policy describes which data may be processed and how, in line with the YummyLog ecosystem (including the app for professionals, when applicable).

The app is a logging and organization tool. It does not replace evaluation, diagnosis or treatment by a health professional.

1. Data we may collect and process

  • Account: when you sign in, identifiers and, when available, email and profile name provided by authentication providers (e.g. Google or Apple), to create and maintain your account and sync data across devices.
  • Food journal: entries you create in the app (meal type, feeling, free text, optional fields the flow allows and photos you choose to attach), stored locally and, when sync is active, in the cloud per product configuration.
  • Professional link: data needed to connect or revoke access of a health professional (e.g. invite code, link identifiers), so only those you authorize can see what the product defines as shareable.
  • Reminders: preferences and times for local reminders on the device to remind you to log meals; notifications are scheduled on the device itself, with no dedicated server for this purpose.
  • App settings: preferences (e.g. language, reminder options) stored on the device and, when applicable, associated with your cloud account.
  • Usage and diagnostics: aggregated and technical usage data (e.g. navigation metrics and crash reports) to improve stability and experience, under the terms of the services used (such as Firebase Analytics and error monitoring tools, when active).

2. How we use the data

We use the data to:

  • Display and sync your journal across devices, when you use an account.
  • Enable connection and revocation of access with professionals, per the product.
  • Send local reminders you configure.
  • Provide support, maintain security, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations.

3. Technical basis and third parties

The app uses Google Firebase services (e.g. authentication, cloud database and storage) and may use other providers for analytics and error reports. Processing by those services follows the policies of the respective providers and the project's configuration.

4. Where data is stored

Part of the data stays on your device. Synced data is typically stored in providers' infrastructure (e.g. Google servers in the regions configured for the project).

5. Your rights

You may request clarification, corrections or support regarding the processing of your personal data by contacting the support email below. Applicable rights depend on the legislation of your region (e.g. LGPD in Brazil).

6. Account and data deletion

To request deletion of the account and associated data in this ecosystem:

  • In the app: under Settings, use the available account options (e.g. sign out, delete account or equivalent), when offered in the installed version.
  • By email: send a request to suporte@yummylog.app with subject "Account and data deletion request". We'll reply within 30 days to complete or guide deletion, when applicable.

Revoking a professional link limits their future access to information shared by the app's flow; details may vary by product version.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. The last update date appears at the top. Continued use of the app after relevant changes may be considered acceptance of the new version, as permitted by applicable law.
